  1. How do the Rocks on Fire, West Virginia rock oil candles work?

Each wick has its own base that is attached to the bottom of the rock to hold the oil.  Pull out the fiberglass wick that is inside a glass tube.  Pour oil into the rock oil candle from the top with the small funnel.  Insert glass tube and wick back into the top of the rock oil candle and light the wick.

  1. What do you get with your purchase of Rocks on Fire, West Virginia rock oil candle?

Rocks on Fire, West Virginia rock oil candles come with everything you need to enjoy your rock oil candle.  The complete set comes with a West Virginia rock oil candle, a fiberglass wick, a glass tube in which your fiberglass wick is inserted, a small funnel to fill your rock oil candle with paraffin oil and a bottle of 99% pure paraffin oil that is odorless and smokeless.

  1. Where do I get extra paraffin or citronella oil once I use the free 8 ounces of 99% pure paraffin oil that comes with my purchase of the Rocks on Fire, West Virginia rock oil candle?

We sell additional bottles of either the 8 ounces or the 22 ounces in both the 99% pure paraffin oil that is odorless and smokeless and the clear citronella oil.  You can also purchase the same oil at Wal-Mart or Kmart.

  1. Can I use scented oil in my Rocks on Fire, West Virginia rock oil candle?

Yes, but you must use the scented paraffin oil.  This is not the same as the scent used in wax candles.

  1. Why are the Rocks on Fire, West Virginia rock oil candles wet or shiny?

We put ultraviolet protectant/sealant polyurethane on our Rocks on Fire, West Virginia rock oil candles.  This brings out the colors in the rock oil candles and gives the flame an extra glow on the rock.

  1. Can I use my Rocks on Fire, West Virginia rock oil candle outdoors?

Yes, but do not leave your rock oil candle outdoors during freezing weather.  You may use citronella paraffin oil in your rock oil candle when using it outdoors if you prefer.

  1. Where can I buy extra replacement fiberglass wicks?

With your purchase of Rocks on Fire, West Virginia rock oil candle, we give you a fiberglass wick in a glass tube for each oil reservoir base.  The fiberglass wick should never need to be replaced.
